Built by a professional mechanic, every metal-to-metal surface has been greased properly, wheel bearings adjusted perfectly, and each bolt torqued appropriately. Take good care of it, and it will take good care of you -- even through a spill or two (dare I say a wreck or two!).
Made of steel, this fixie comes with:
1) Butter-smooth hubs laced to indestructible Alex rims.
2) Brand new track chain.
3) Flip-flop hub with a 16-tooth flreewheel accompanied by a 16-tooth fixed cog.
4) Add in the 42-tooth chainring to bring it to its current level of 70.27 gear-inches (as is, you can fly on the flats and not climb with difficulty -- it's what I ride).
5) The dropouts (where the rear hub meets the frame) are 4cm long(!!!), which means you can throw on at least a 14-tooth cog on one side and a 19-tooth on the other -- allowing for a very wide rage of gearing, whatever you may want. Maybe a 16/11 tooth combo, if you like.
6) Jagwire cables and housing.
7) 28mm tires, and you can downsize all the way to 23mm. This bike has enough clearance to hold 32mm tires for a smooth, bumpy-free -- yet fast -- ride.
8) Two strong brakes that can be removed easily.
It comes with a generic seat, but I have extras you may want to choose from instead -- some real old-school. You may (possibly) trade for a different sized cog.
It's a 54cm, but it can fit just about anyone 5'7 or taller - as the stem and seatpost are both cut high and the current stem is at a high angle.
