2001 Carolina Skiff J16 YAMAHA 4 STROKE for sale in Gainesville, Florida

$750

2001 Carolina Skiff J-16 center console with her 2007 Yamaha four stroke 20 HP outboard and Performance galvanized trailer.Overall the boat is in great condition and looks very lightly used. I am the second owner, she had been garage kept most of her life and it shows. I recently had the hull sides buffed/waxed and they look like new (notice the reflections in the pics up top). She has no real fiberglass flaws to speak of, the interior floor and deck look great with no imperfections and are completely solid. The center console is the upgraded version with seating in front of it and storage underneath (previous owner was a craftsman and made a really nice wooden rack under the console to keep items an inch off the floor to keep water off.) The console also has a windshield and grab rail. Up front is a big casting deck with a ton of storage underneath. In the back of the boat you have a 6 gallon gas tank (a ton of gas for this motor) and a single battery in a box. Behind the helm you have a very nice flip flop cooler seat that has also been plumbed/converted to work as a livewell too. Use it as a cooler when you would like, or use it as a live well with a water pickup and drain built in, professionally done, looks/works awesome (brand new pump too). I have a really nice white cushion that was originally for a cooler of mine that I use for the front seat of the console. The bottom of the boat looks great too, a few light scratches from sand, nothing thru the gel coat and no dings (see pics). On top of the dash is a Hummingbird 100 SX fishfinder. It power's on and works, just a little variation in the screen color but you can read it just fine, the backlighting works well too for night fishing. Recently all the wiring in the entire boat was gone thru, it seems the factory preferred electrical tape to marine shrink wrap and when I got her some of the connections were faulty. Everything has been taken care of now including new switchs, the navigation lights work great, and I even had a killer set of blue LED underwater lights installed ($750 by themselves). I've had underwater lights added to the last 6 or so boats that I've owned and it's amazing what they can do besides just looking cool when your running or at the dock. I added a couple of pics of the same model/color light on one of my previous flats boats up top, the SAME exact light set up. They bring fish to the boat repeatedly!! Really neat feature you will rarely see on a boat of this size and value. Nice blue sunbrella bimini goes with her also. The Yamaha is a 20 HP four stroke outboard, was manufactured 08/06, and installed on the boat 6/29/2007. There unfortunately is no hour meter on the boat, the previous owner believed he had only run 4 tanks of gas thru her since she was put on. The motor itself is spotless both inside and out. There is literally no corrosion anywhere to be seen. The oil was recently changed. I had the motor inspected before I bought it and they told me it looked new. The controls on the helm have power tilt/trim but the motor does not, very easy to move up and down by hand. Also has the very handy fresh water flush built onto the side. I read online that in 2007 this is the same 323cc block that they used for the 40 HP also, quite a powerful little motor and amazing on gas. Always run on non- ethanol fuel. I also have an outboard lock installed on it so that nobody gets any funny ideas. The 2001 Performance Galvanized trailer is in great shape. The wheels/tires are less than 9 mos old and the buddy bearings were replaced at the same time. Right now the boat is adjusted forward on the trailer but can be moved back to lessen tongue weight (I like having a little trailer bunk at the back, makes getting in and out easier.) The trailer lights have been moved to the top of the PVC guide posts, they always "work" better up there, and these ones work well. There was some minor surface rust on the trailer brackets themselves so I had them painted with real galvanizing paint for added protection, the axle itself looks great. Boat trailers wonderfully, you don't even know it's behind you and I'm sure it could be pulled by many sedans also.
