Early 1970's vintage Epiphone FT-120, made in Japan for sale in Gainesville, Florida

$200

I took this gorgeous little 000-size Epiphone on trade for a more costly guitar I was offering. Archival information on Epiphones is tough to come by, however construct ideas, like the no fret, puts it someplace in the early 1970's or late 1960's, most likely 1, as no worries on Japanese guitars stopped being utilized around 1971. This guitar needs to have spent a lot her years in a closet due to the fact that it looks essentially like brand name new, conserve for one little finish scratch on the upper bout side. There is virtually no fret wear, no fretboard wear, no buckle rash, no gouges, dings or scratches. It has a spruce leading over mahogany sides and back, with a mahogany neck. There's no decoration to speak of, however the top does feature four-ply binding. The rosewood bridge is height adjustable. I cannot tell what the fretboard wood is. It resembles ebony, however this was not a costly guitar when new, so it most likely isn't really, however who understands? She has a brilliant clean sound, in addition to a smaller sized size that could be more comfortable for women or youngsters. She's one sweet little instrument!

Before putting her up for sale, I did a complete teardown, polishing, then waxing the body, cleaning then soaking the fretboard & bridge overnight in lemon oil (two times!), adjusting the neck and tuners. She stays in a quality stiff softshell case which would cost $75 by itself, but is included in the sale. A classic FT-120 like this that offered on Ebay sold for $182.50 + $45.00 shipping, or $227.50 total amount. There is presently one on Ebay for $225.00 + $32.45 shipping, or $257.45 total amount. Neither of these two are as cosmetically nice as mine, and neither featured a quality case (one came with a job bag, the other with a cardboard case). These vintage, made-in-Japan, acoustics are getting more challenging to discover in exceptional condition and the actually good ones like this are increasing in value each year. Kindly provide me a call if you have any concerns, 3-seven-1-one-1-1-one.
